Hooked - Liz Fichera More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading Corner

Hooked was a pretty adorable story that tackled some pretty serious issues (Namely: bullying and discrimination). The book starts out with the reader being introduced to Fred Oday. She (Yes, Fred is a girl- Fred being short for Fredricka) loves to play golf and has being doing little else all summer. School is about to start back up when she's contacted by the golf coach of her high school, offering her a spot on the team after watching her play at the golf course. She accepts because golf is her passion and something she truly loves. The only problem? It's an all boys golf team- and as if she wouldn't stick out enough, she's also Native American. She gets paired with Ryan Berenger, who pretty much hates her on the spot because she has taken his best friend Seth's spot on the team. They are quite ready to just ignore each other and play the sport they both love when another complication arises.... they begin to hate each other less and less and start to think that they actually might maybe kind of like each other?! Thus, the story takes off and it was was one I thoroughly enjoyed! :))
