Graffiti Moon - Cath Crowley More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading Corner

Awwwwwww........... Graffiti Moon is ahhhh-mazing! When I read the premise, I thought to myself, "Well this should be a cute story!" And it was cute- it was freakin' adorable! But it was more than that too- it was a story that warms the heart and puts butterflies in your stomach. It also addresses serious issues and has a realistic plot. The story is told from the alternating view points of Lucy and Ed. Lucy is a glass-blower and absolutely obsessed with finding Shadow, a graffiti artist that paints gorgeous things on the sides of buildings. Nobody really knows who he is- they just see the work he and his partner in crime, Poet, leaves behind on the walls. Her best friend is Jazz, a psychic. Ed is an absolute sweetie, but he's dirt-poor and has dropped out of school to get a job so he can help his mom pay rent. Ed's best friend is Leo. The characters were all awesome! And the story was just *sigh*. I can't even really explain it, but Cath Crowley- I applaud you, because I am now officially WAY more interested in art than I was before I started reading this masterpiece, and it takes skill to reach out to a person through a book and change them in any way! (Once I finish this review, I'm off to Google some graffiti art! :P) I've got to be really honest with you: I wouldn't mind having more Shadow a sequel, so ya know...... *hint-hint*. There is really nothing more I can say without giving away anything spoilery. (<--- Look, I invented a word.) But I can tell you this: I absolutely loved every page of this book and I cannot recommend it enough. So, you need to go out and get your very own copy (the cover is gorgeous!) and read it. Trust me- you don't want to miss this! <3<br/>
