Hello BookLikes!!

I decided to come here after the whole Goodreads censorship fiasco and I'm really looking forward to getting to know my new book home!! :D

Origin - Jennifer L. Armentrout More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading Corner

Initial Reaction: I just finished the book..... and I'm speechless..... that ending..... Daemon...... I can't....... I can't even...... asdfghjkl;

Okay, I'm going to attempt to 'review' this book and refrain from too much fangirling. First of all, I think it's obvious that I absolutely loved it! So much stuff happened and it was so action-packed! But there were also really beautiful, tender moments between Daemon & Katy. Which leads me to.... Daemon.... *sigh* I absolutely love me some Daemon Black. And being in his head and seeing how he thinks and how much he loves his Kitten was just ahhh-mazing! I loved uncovering the mystery behind the title. I loved meeting the new character, Archer. And I absolutely loved every single page of this book! That ending.... pretty much left me writhing in agony as I await the sequel. Jennifer- you are a freakin' genius (kind of evil.....), but still a literary genius! <3
Jennifer L. Armentrout: "I will also confirm this: The last two books in the series that are currently untitled are in dual POVs (Daemon and Katy). There you go."

**DIES**

UPDATE: IT HAS A TITLE!!!

DOUBLE UPDATE: I just finished Opal and I all I can think is this: "NEED ORIGIN.... NEED ORIGIN.... NEED ORIGIN.... NEED ORIGIN.... WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET MY HANDS ON A COPY OF ORIGIN.... NEED ORIGIN.... REALLY NEED ORIGIN....."

TRIPLE UPDATE: It has a release date! August 27, 2013 It's too far away..... *cries*

QUADRUPLE UPDATE: It has a synopsis..... and..... and.... it makes me anxious & nervous. :3 :/

QUINTUPLE UPDATE: IT HAS A COVER!!!!!!!! AND IT'S JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! AND I'M FREAKIN' OUT!!!!!!!! AND I REALLY *NEED* THIS BOOK, LIKE, RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!! AND..... AND..... I'm calm. Completely and totally calm FREAKIN' THE FLIP OUT!!!! asdfghjkl;

TEASERS: We have teasers.....

The FIRST CHAPTER of Origin is up on Hypable to tide us over til we can get our hands on it! <3 **internal screaming**

"All the pent up, helpless rage formed a wrecking ball inside of me. Maintaining human form was near impossible. I wanted to hit something—destroy something. I needed to.

“Daemon, no one—”

“Shut up,” I said, turning to where Matthew sat in the corner of the room. Right this moment I wanted to destroy him. “Just shut the hell up.”

********

“You have no idea…” I ran out of words at that point. Her being this close after so long was the sweetest kind of torture. Each breath she took, I felt in every part of my body, in some areas more than others. Really inappropriate, but she always had a powerful hold over me. Common sense jumped out the window.”

Lick - Kylie Scott <3 David <3
I absolutely loved this book! One of my favorite new adult novels yet! <3
Tears of Tess - Pepper Winters More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading Corner

There is a quote by, none other than, Dr. Seuss that I feel really encompasses the essence of Tess & Q's relationship:

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love."

Tess & Q each found their own unique weirdness within each other. Their own base desires that that hated themselves for at the same time that they craved it. And they only found complete happiness when they discovered that mutual darkness was shared by someone else. Tears of Tess was just mind-blowingly awesome. Q gives Christian Grey a run for his money and is the epitome of 'tortured hero.' Tess was seriously bad-ass! In the beginning, when she was first sold, she never let those traffickers break her. All the other women cowered and cried, but Tess stood up and told them to go f**k themselves which I really admired. It takes great strength to stick up for yourself in a situation like that and Tess had it in spades. That same strength is what made her so perfect for Q. *sigh* Oh, Q...... Let's just say the alphabet will never be the same again. Also, the number line (#58!!!). Q was a completely mysterious enigma, you never really understood him, which was why that last chapter at the end was utter perfection. Tears of Tess is a story about discovering you who really are and not being afraid to embrace it. Tess went on such an intense and emotional journey and no matter what- always managed to come out on top. I absolutely loved this book- so much, that I read it one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. I can't recommend this book enough for lovers of dark erotica romance! But be warned: it will blow your socks panties off. ;)

An ARC was provided by the author.
The Spectacular Now - Tim Tharp

So I only heard about this book because it was made into a movie and I checked the movie trailer out- and it looked fantastic! Therefore the book itself must be freakin' stupendous (because the books are always better)! So, I can't wait to read this book. :))

Becoming Bryn - Angela Carling More of my reviews at The Cozy Reading Corner

I don't..... I don't even know what to say. I am literally writing this review at 3:33 in the morning after staying up all night to finish this book in one sitting. My heart has been ripped out, shredded up, and then shoved back into my chest. This book frustrated me so freakin' much! I can't tell you how many times I wanted to reach into the book and shake some sense into Jesse! (I could literally feel my hands clenching at times, you guys!) But this journey, no matter how painful and stupid of a decision it was for Jesse, was the most eye-opening, inspiring, and meaningful one I've ever been on. This is a one-of-a-kind story. A diamond in the rough. Not many books can literally make my stomach cramp up with nerves as I wait to see what will become of these very human characters who happen to make some monumental mistakes (I can't explain how fine a line it was between hating Jesse for what she was doing to actually understanding where she was coming from). You get to see how great a person Bryn truly was even though she made her fair share of mistakes as well, and I really loved getting a glimpse of what happens in the after. Ethan was just... *sigh*. And Anna? Absolutely angelically adorable. Summer was a ray of sunshine. But to top all of this off, I can't tell you how unprepared and taken off-guard I was by this book! The synopsis made it sound like it would a quick, light-hearted, fun little read. And the cover reinforced that idea by being light and cute. Then you start reading and..... BAM! Feels to the thousandth degree. This book needs to come with some kind of warning about the emotions you will go through. But I cannot recommend this story enough. Seriously. You need to read it. It just completely blew me away. I don't even know if I can give it a star rating! It's so beyond all that. All I can do is try to convey the enormity of this book. It has so many life lessons packed into it and all of them completely relevant to everyday life. It was just.... truly beautiful. That's all I can really say. And Angela Caring- thank you so much for contacting me about reviewing this book! Without you bringing your lovely story to my attention I might have gone through life without ever having read it; and what a tragedy that would have been. <3
The Proposition (The Proposition, #1) - Lucia Jordan Free Kindle Download. (You know how I'm a sucker for those.) This story was short and it wasn't all together bad. The fact that the whole thing had been a dream was definitely unexpected, and while it was a creative twist- I don't particularly enjoy reading stories (or watching movies for that matter) where you get to the end and realize the whole thing had been basically irrelevant.
Always Wanted (Xander Barns, #1) - Sarah Tork This book was.... quite strange. I downloaded it because it was a free Kindle book and it actually sounded pretty good. The beginning had real potential and I was actually liking it, then part way through a new development transpired that had me dropping my jaw and questioning what the heck I was reading. It ending in a bit of a cliffhanger that has me wondering what happens next but lacking a deep desire to read the sequel.
Sweet Reckoning (The Sweet Trilogy, #3) - Wendy Higgins Update: It has a synopsis!!!! :D And it sounds FABULOUS! <3
Teaser:

I texted Kaidan, who was listed in my contacts under “James,” for James Bond. He’d chosen it. He had me listed as “Hot Chick From Gig.”

Video chat in 30.

His immediate response made me shake my head.

Clothing optional?

It was nice to know he could keep a sense of humor in the face of calamity. Or maybe he wasn’t joking...

“Are you two flirting?” Patti asked, her eyes darting to me from the road.

I blushed and deleted his message.
